Located in Wanla Village near Leh, Wanla Eco Homestay is situated approximately 120 km from Leh, taking around 2.5–3 hours via the Sham Valley route. Positioned along the banks of the Yapola River, the homestay serves as a stop for travellers heading towards Zanskar via Shinku La. It is also located close to the historic Wanla Monastery, a 10th-century monastery associated with the Drukpa Kagyu tradition.
Wanla Village lies on a key route connecting Leh to Zanskar, making it a practical halt for travellers exploring Western Ladakh. The region also offers access to local cultural sites, caves and natural features within the village landscape.
