The space

The homestay is positioned on a secluded hill across a small stream, standing as the only house on that side of the village. Guests are accommodated in a cozy private room within the family home, enjoying a highly tranquil environment powered entirely by solar energy.

Bathroom

The homestay features a traditional dry toilet located just outside the house. Utilizing soil or ash instead of water, this sustainable setup is specifically adapted for the cold, high-altitude mountain environment where water frequently freezes.

Surrounded by untouched nature and situated near a glacier, the homestay offers panoramic views of the entire valley, local farms and wildlife habitats. Its isolated position across the stream makes it an ideal location for stargazing and peaceful walks in the wilderness.

Host

Your host, Dorjay Stanzin, is a retired soldier who runs the homestay with his family. He established the stay out of a passion for meeting new people and engaging in conversation. An excellent cook, Dorjay enjoys sharing warm meals and great stories with his guests.
