Sonam Dolma has been hosting travellers since tourism began in the Siachen Base Camp area. She manages her home, cattle and fields and welcomes guests with simple, home-cooked meals. In her free time, she knits sweaters, socks and caps and makes baskets from willow and wild burtsey. Her husband, Stanzin Tundup, works as a driver. Sonam also sells her handmade craft items within the village.
