About your experience
Walk through the old lanes of Leh and step into a part of the town where life has moved slowly for centuries. Once an important stop on the ancient Silk Route, Old Leh was a busy center of trade where merchants from Central Asia, Tibet and nearby regions passed through, bringing goods, stories and culture with them.
As you walk through these narrow streets, you’ll see traditional Ladakhi homes, small shrines and old structures that still stand as they did years ago. These lanes were once filled with traders, locals and everyday life, making this area the heart of the town’s early settlement.
Along the way, you’ll also get a taste of local life, fresh breads from small bakeries, simple street snacks and quiet corners that still carry stories of the past.
This walk is a chance to understand how Leh grew over time, through its people, its location and its connection to the larger world.
